Annual Meeting
This is our time to appreciate ourselves and all that we have achieved in the almost two years since we began a commUnity-led experience. And a time to look at the new challenges in front of us. Please make sure to return your membership reaffirmation before the beginning of the Annual Meeting, either in person, or by email, so that you will be able to vote. Forms were snail-mailed to all UoB members last week.
Board Secretary, Carol Peacock, and Board Recorder, Mary Ann Williams, have worked hard to clarify the Board terms. As a result, they have uncovered a third seat up for election. Carol Peacock and Roy Capio have agreed to run for re-election. One new Board member will join the team. Cathy Haggerty will join the slate that will be presented at the Annual Meeting.

Unity MLK Day Concert (Online)
Celebrate Peace!
Unity Worldwide Ministries will livestream an online Martin Luther King Day celebration featuring New Thought artists, including Rev. Sandra Campbell, Redahlia Kilson, Misa Malone, John Stringer and Eddie Watkins Jr., plus a compilation of musicians singing “Lift Every Voice and Sing”. Speakers during the concert will include Rev. Kathy Beasley (senior manager of the Unity Prayer Ministry), Rev. Sandra Campbell (executive director of Unity Urban Ministerial School) and Emanuel Walker (digital strategy manager at Unity World Headquarters), who will talk about the history of the songs and their impact on the Civil Rights Movement. This workshop will cover "Everthing You Always Wanted to Know about ACIM but Didn't Want to Have to Read the Whole Course to Find Out." This is the Epilogue in Alan Cohen's book "A Course In Miracles Made Easy." In other words, we are going to bring A Course in Miracles principles down to earth to recognize it is a map out of “hell” or fear.

'According to Your Faith', with Rev. Robin Volker

Rev Robin Volker will share with us how to create a faith development plan. In order to build our faith muscles, we must get off the couch (get away from negative and limited thinking) and exercise our faith. She will recap how members can use the points within their lives and within their spiritual community.
Rev. Robin Volker is an ordained Unity minister, passionate facilitator, inspirational speaker, and certified life coach. Robin helps congregants and clients make fresh starts in all areas of their lives. Robin is talented at helping seekers apply spiritual principles to their real-life challenges.

The perception of our relationship with God is confirmed, or mirrored, through our relationships with each other. This workshop will explore that we are here to create holy relationships with all beings. The Course says "An unholy (special) relationship is no relationship. It is a state of isolation, which seems to be what it is not. No more than that."
It is not necessary to have attended the prior sessions to attend this third session.

'The Lighter Side of Parenting', with Rev. David LeBeau
Childcare Provided!
In the face of the overwhelming number of apocalyptic movies and shows, both adults and young people may be feeling like the future is bleak. Join Rev. David LeBeau this Sunday in exploring some of the skills that Truth provides us to deal with unexpected circumstances. Using those skills, we can create enduring gifts that we can give the younger generations.
Please contact the office if you plan on bringing a child so that we can ensure there are enough supplies for everyone.
Senior Yoga with Rev. David LeBeau
Accessible Yoga for All!
This in-person practice will be in the Unity Chapel where we will wear masks until we get everyone spaced out for social distancing then masks will be optional until after practice.
Chairs will be used for half of the stretches, and half will be practiced standing close to the chair. There is no need to get down on the floor. The Practice is very accessible.
Senior Yoga is a Vinyasa Flow style infused with strength training which is part of the YogaFit style which David was trained in.
You may also participate from home by Zoom. Email Rev. David LeBeau at lebeau921@comcast.net before 10:30 AM on Thursday June 15th and request an invitation. You will be sent an email with the Zoom link and passcode.

The Course also takes a look at what is Real and our perception of the world. Each workshop is self-contained, so no attendance at previous workshops is necessary.
