As we step into Black History Month, we do so under the theme Radiant Joy: A Sacred Celebration – a joy that is rooted, resilient, and spiritually grounded. This month, we honor Black history and culture, not by denying the challenges of the past, but by celebrating a Joy that has aways existed alongside them. Our first message draws from the familiar parable of the Good Samaritan (Luke 10:25-37), a story that invites us to examine not just our actions, but our consciousness. Jesus’ response to the question, “Who is my neighbor?” becomes a mirror for our own lives.
Together, we will explore four reflective questions:
Who do I see as my neighbor?
When do I cross the road?
What stories do I tell myself to justify non-involvement?
When does compassion awaken – and when does it stay asleep?
Join us as we begin Black History Month grounded in compassion, consciousness, and radiant Joy.
